Toronto AIDS Walk For Life

2008 marked the third appearance of the Laidback to the AIDS Walk. Never ones to shy from supporting great and worthy causes, a smaller contingent of Folk still packed a mighty punch, raising over $1,600 in generous donations.
A testament to commitment with the firm belief in supporting such a cause was demonstrated by each and every person who took part in the AIDS Walk. Indeed, that day seemed like a Laidback contingent multiplied by the thousands, with walkers, volunteers and well wishers honking their support throughout the afternoon.
Even a forecast of rain couldn’t affect the energy of the day. The collective spirit of the formidable crowd seemed to hold the rain at bay during both the walk and the après-walk party. Instead of thunderstorms, the day was blessed with sunshine as The Country Folk danced ‘til the very end to a most groovy disco band.
